Foodies: Three star Michelin restaurants in Catalunya
Catalunya has some of the best cuisine in Europe, and boasts 54 restaurants with one or more Michelin stars.
World’s most famous (catalan) chef, Ferran Adrià, set the bar high with his ground breaking restaurant El Bulli, which he closed a few years ago.
Here we list the current top 3 restaurants in Catalunya with three Michelin stars:
Located in Girona, our proud now is El Celler de Can Roca, twice ranked nº1 restaurant in the world and currently on nº3.
Run by the three Roca brothers, they each are leaders in their fields: Josep as the sommelier, Joan as the chef and Jordi in charge of desserts.
They give classic traditional dishes a contemporary twist with cutting-edge techniques to create high cuisine plates. Using local fresh products their dishes are designed to evoke memories and emotions of the Costa Brava region.

Restaurant Lasarte is the first restaurant in the center of Barcelona to earn three Michelin stars. Run by chef Martin Berasategui and located in the Condes de Barelona hotel, his dishes are elegant and creative.

Last but not least is restaurant Sant Pau, owned and run by female chef Carme Ruscalleda. Located in Sant Pol de Mar, on the Costa Maresme, her innovative cuisine is based on local products from this area. Take a stroll during the pintoresque fishermen’s village or combine it with a morning on the beach. The restaurant is right next to the beach and the train station, so you very easy to reach.
