The most incredible corners of the Costa Brava
It is well known that the Costa Brava is an incredible place to spend any time of the year, but in summer every corner becomes relevant.
Virgin beaches, natural pools and hidden coves on the Costa Brava is what we will talk about today. Find out below.
The 3 most hidden coves on the Costa Brava
- Pi Beach
If we start touring the Catalan coast from the north to the south, the first beach in this territory is the Playa del Pi, which belongs to the town of Portbou. It is a totally virgin and natural beach and thanks to its location, it is very little occupied in the months of high season. It is composed of gray pebbles and has dimensions more typical of a cove, 30 meters long and 10 wide.
- Cala Estreta
The Cala Estreta is located in Palamós. It enjoys an incredible environment, although it is only accessible walking from the beach of Es Castell about 30 minutes, approximately. The walk to the beautiful beach is quite flat and becomes a bearable path. The cove, about 100 meters, is divided in two by a protruding rock called La Roja. Being a virgin beach, natural and difficult to access, there is no presence of any service and you can practice nudism.
- Cala Vallpresona
Located within the municipal territory of Santa Cristina d’Aro. It is another completely virgin beach and it is impossible to access with the car given to its hidden location. You have to walk 15 minutes to reach this place like no other. It is a unique corner that is preserved in perfect condition, since few people know it.
As a beach on the Costa Brava, it is formed of huge round pebbles.
The months of July, August and early September are the best to enjoy these beaches, crystal clear water and a good temperature.
